Renoops is an emerging writer hailing from the Mid-North Coast, Gumbaynggirr Country, and residing in the Wollongong area, Dharawal Country. They are completing a double degree of Arts and International Studies with focuses on creative writing and sustainable development, respectively. Their academic and extracurricular pursuits have fuelled a love of storytelling throughout her life. They've spent countless hours exploring diverse voices in the non-fiction world of politics and social change, striving to further educate themself, as well as stories with rich internal lives and experimental genres. Renoops is enthusiastic about writing and passionate about the importance of knowing the roles that work behind the things they love. They believe that appreciating a craft means working at the little details involved to not only perfect them, but also to mould them beyond the original boundaries.
Renoops has spent a large majority of their life exploring nature, in both rural and city spaces, as such they take every opportunity to listen and to watch what is happening around them. Much inspiration is surrounded by concepts of death and rebirth, coinciding with the natural world and people watching.
They wish to one day have the same wonderful whimsy as a cloud during the dusk hours, but for now they will enjoy simply watching the sky pass with a cat curled in their lap and a G&T in hand.
